Europe vs Asia (battle to the end)

Differences between Europe and Asia eating out at a restaurant. Here are some of the differences I have noticed while eating out in Europe and Asia.

In Europe:
- Your drinks come before the food
- All of your meals come at the same time
- They don't keep you waiting for a long time
- In Europe they get your order right
- Water is expensive
- The tables are already set when you get there
- The floor is not cement
- You will mostly eat with a fork
- You will always sit on chairs
- There is salt and pepper on the tables
- Has real napkins for you to use
- Expensive shakes and sodas

In Asia
- Your drinks come after or during your meal
- None of your meals come at the same time
- They keep you waiting
- In Asia they normally get your order wrong
- Water is cheap
- They set the table while you are sitting down
- The floor is cement
- You will mostly eat with chopsticks
- Often you will have to sit on the floor
- No salt or pepper on the tables
- Use toilet paper for napkins
- Cheap shakes and sodas

So overall eating in Asia you get your meals brought out at different times. When one is done they bring it out. Drinks come after or during the meal. Once I got my drink after I was done eating. It it also common for one person to be done eating before another person even gets their meal. While in Europe everyone gets their meals at the same time. Drinks come before the meal not after.

I like to eat at restaurants in Europe better than Asia because: they get your order right, you can eat with a fork, they have chairs for you to sit on, your drinks will come before the meal and not after or during the meal. I would recommend going to Europe rather than Asia for eating at restaurants because of these reasons.

  1. Interesting list of comparisons. Joe, the Chef, would be interested in this. Which places have the most delicious food? When you get here, we will make cookies. Grandma Hull.

    1. So far I have liked the food in Italy and Thailand the best. My favorite Italian food is pesto pasta with ficacccia bread. My favorite Thai food is Panang curry with rice. (I might be able to make some for you)

  2. Remember, when you get here you are still in Asia--we will try to remember to put salt on the table, to let you eat at a table, with a fork, and we will try to serve everyone about the same time. The Price? Maybe so much that you cn't afford any of it--so I guess I'll have to buy your food--or at least, your water! Grandpa Hull
