Before we left for our trip We all had
parties with our friends and said “Goodbye”. Throughout the
entire trip we went to23 different countries including: Washington
D.C, Czech Republic, Germany, Poland, Hungary, Italy, Vatican City,
Greece, Turkey, Egypt, India, Thailand, Laos, Burma, Cambodia,
Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong,
China, and Japan. All of the countries had there own personality.
My favorite countries that we went to
are: Italy, Germany, and New Zealand
In Italy we stayed at a small town
called San Terenzo, which is close to the Cinque Terre towns. In San Terenzo we stayed in a small apartment 50 meters from the beach.
Every day for the first couple of days we would go to the beach and
play. For dinner a lot of the nights we got some pesto from the deli
in the store. The pesto was SO GOOD! Partly because we were staying
in the town that it was invented in, and partly because it is super
good anyway. To go with the pesto we also got some ficaccia bread to
dip in the pesto sauce, it was so GOOD!
In Germany we stayed in a small town up
in the mountains by the Nueschwanstein castle
(Disney Castle). It was in the fall
when we were there, all of the trees were starting to change color
and the air was starting to get cold. It was really nice up there.
While we were in that town we went and saw the Nueschwanstein castle.
The tour guide was hard to understand, but it was still really cool.
One of the foods that I tried was a bratwurst. Its like a sausage
hotdog thing. They were really good. Also the people in Germany were
super nice and helpful.
In New Zealand we stayed at my dads
friends house. We also rented an RV and drove all around
New Zealand. New Zealand was very very
pretty. Even though it was in the dry season, everything was a least
5 times greener than everything in Utah, And that was the dry season!
I had a lot of fun in
New Zealand. One thing that was super
good is, the ice cream. New Zealand had the BEST ice cream every. Ice
cream in the US is terrible compared to ice cream in New Zealand.
Another bonus about New Zealand is that most everyone speaks English
as a first language.
These are my favorite 3 countries that
we visited. I am happy and sad at the same time to go home. Even
though I miss my friends, I will miss traveling too. When we get back
we we also have big parties. I think that it was worth it to go on
the trip and I would consider going on another, if the opportunity
arises.
