After 3 months of thoughtful consideration and planning, yesterday we bought the first half of the plane tickets for our around the world adventure. Man, that was a good feeling! Somehow I thought it would be different. I anticipated fear, doubt, and anxiety. I actually felt very little of that. I felt excitement, calm, and a little relief. Of course that could be the calm before the storm of preparation that is about to hit our house!
Probably, part of the reason we felt so good about things is that we worked with a company called AirTreks on the airfare. We wholeheartedly recommend them. Elaine has been experimenting (for free) with different routes and itineraries on the AirTreks website for months and about three weeks ago called and talked to an agent, Sara. Sara was great and helped us all the way through the process of settling on an itinerary and picking flights.
Now the real work begins. Let's have some fun!
